This is the 13.3 in case witch may be a different design than the 14 in case. It does not open flat only from corner to corner but has lots of room for your gear with straps and 3 deep pockets. Also their is no side handle, just a top handle that retracts. I was able to load it up with everything needed for my laptop. The zippers are high quality and the laptop compartment is nice, cushy and fits my chromebook like a glove. (check the dimensions of your laptop, but the dimensions listed are True) The case passed a 15 minute water test and fits nicely in a small backpack. I would recommend this case.
